Customer Security Officer - US State, Local, and Education

Microsoft seeks a Customer Security Officer (CSO) to advise top customers, particularly within the US State, Local, and Education Industry verticals. This role involves building relationships with CISOs, understanding their security needs, and providing expertise to enhance their security posture while positioning Microsoft as a cybersecurity leader. The CSO will collaborate cross-functionally, influence product roadmaps, and contribute to strategic pursuits. The role requires up to 25% travel and working as part of a global team.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field AND 4+ years technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field AND 6+ years technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience
  • 7+ years technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience
  • 3+ years of enterprise industry experience as a Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) or similar
  • Prior experience working with the US State, Local, and Education Industry verticals
  • 8+ years technical pre-sales, technical consulting, or technology delivery experience
  • 6+ years experience with cloud and hybrid infrastructures
  • Certification in relevant technologies
  • Information Security knowledge
