senior accountant, Global Lease Accounting (Remote - U.S.)
About the position
Responsibilities
- Prepare and review journal entries for accuracy and compliance with company policies and applicable accounting principles.
- Reconcile accounts or review account reconciliations prepared by others.
- Maintain and develop various accounting systems and processes, recommending and implementing improvements.
- Support month and quarter end close by performing trend and variance analysis.
- Assist in quarterly earnings and ongoing budget and forecasting processes, producing ad-hoc reporting and analysis.
- Research new or existing accounting guidance for business transactions and prepare or review accounting memos.
- Train and coach team members, facilitating cross-training and tracking day-to-day tasks.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in accounting, including journal entries, account reconciliation, reporting, and analysis.
- Bachelor's degree required; degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
- Experience using an ERP system and business intelligence and reporting tools (such as Hyperion and Oracle) preferred.
- CPA desired but not required.
- Public accounting experience is a plus.

- Experience with financial statement disclosure preparation.
